Care training courses targeted specifically at those working within the learning disability community are offered across a whole range of care training subjects. Welcome to Care-Ability Training, your "skills in care" specialists.
After decades of traditional care home style care, where staff are constantly managed and directed in their daily duties, the dramatic and inevitable transition to a supported living environment requires a similarly dramatic change to training for care for staff.
Assisting not doing, reporting, decision making, taking initiative, PCP (Person Centred Planning) participation, risk management, and recognition and management of challenging behaviours are just some of the new fundamentals that need to underpin the traditional generic elements of induction and are the areas we expand upon in our individual care training courses. Times are changing. Care training must adapt to cope.
|We're proud to be different. We come at our care training from a different angle to most. Some primary care training centres and providers tend to think that an induction into care is generic and works for everyone. Some will train HCA's alongside Learning Disability support workers. Some will treat Learning Disabilities as a small part of their total offering.||Our training for care courses all revolve around learning and physical disabilities and range from our which covers all of the mandatory elements, through to client specific behavioural management training.|
|Funding for care training at accredited centres, like Care-Ability, is often available from Government-backed organisations, like Skills for Care, in order to ensure that the care workforce has a uniformity of skills. Care–Ability Training can assist organisations to claim funding for training for care and development of social care staff in line with industry requirements.||As a care training provider, we know that we need to inspire the individuals we train for care. To fire them up for the challenges that face them and to give them the knowledge that will keep them and their clients safe. In our experienced trainers we have found true inspiration.|
